Safe driving on motorway

01.01.2020. 00:00

We wish all highway users a happy and safe destination at these holidays.

As every year, in the days leading up to Christmas and New Year, increased traffic intensity is expected on all major motorway routes in the Republic of Croatia. From Friday, December 20, particularly heavy traffic is expected on the A3 Bregana-Zagreb-Lipovac, A1 Zagreb-Split-Dubrovnik and A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorways. Higher inflow of vehicles with possible and shorter waiting times with possible delays is possible at the toll stations Lučko, Zagreb-east, Saint Helena, Bregana, Bajakovo and Vrata, access zones of Jankomir, Ivanja Reka and Buzin interchanges at the Zagreb bypass, and Bregana, Bajan border crossings and Rupa. To avoid longer waiting at toll stations, we ask users to use cashless payments or to prepare a small amount of money to pay the toll.

We pay special attention to the caution when driving in the area of Jankomir junction where extensive remediation works take place that could not be completed before the holidays. The traffic lane is closed and traffic is conducted by one lane with a speed limit of 80 km / h. Also, the downward branch of the junction from the A2 motorway in the direction of the City of Zagreb is closed to traffic, and traffic is bypassed (exit Rakitje (A3) - Zagrebačka Street (ŽC 3064) - entrance Rakitje (A3)). From the direction of the City of Zagreb in the direction of GP Bregan, the lane is closed for traffic and traffic is conducted by one lane with a speed limit of 80 km / h. From the direction of GP Bregan in the direction of the City of Zagreb a traffic lane is closed for traffic, and traffic is conducted by one traffic lane with a speed limit of 80 km / h.

We urge drivers to adjust their driving to road conditions and weather conditions and to check the road conditions before heading on the road. Customers who come to Croatia or who are traveling for the holidays are asked to drive on vacations and use rest breaks to avoid fatigue and reduced concentration on longer journeys.

We remind you that winter equipment is obligatory on the A1 motorway (section Lučko-Maslenica), the A2 motorway (GP Macelj-Jankomir), the A3 motorway (GP Bregana-GP Bajakovo), the A4 motorway (GP Goričan-Ivanja Reka), the A5 motorway (Osijek- Sredanci), motorway A6 (Bosiljevo II-Orehovica), regardless of weather conditions. All traffic information is available on the HAC and HAK website and toll-free info phones 0800 0422 or 0800 0111.

Dear drivers, keep in mind that the holiday table can wait, do not rush, drive responsibly because safe home is the greatest gift.

Happy holidays to you
