2. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

As the Data Controller, Hrvatske autoceste d.o.o. (HAC) processes the personal data of users of the LiveTrafficHR application (hereinafter referred to as the "App") for the following purposes:

2.1.  Registration
User registration is voluntary, yet access to all App features, such as direct calls to emergency services and HAC, as well as reporting events/incidents on the highway, is exclusive to registered users.
Upon registration, HAC will collect the user's email address and username (nickname). This data is crucial for service provision, and its processing is based on the contractual agreement between HAC and the user.
Users have the choice to delete their user account; however, this action will limit access to specific App functionalities.

2.2. Vehicle Data entry  
Registered users can voluntarily input details about their vehicle type (category, model, and license plate) and destination information within the App. Providing this information is optional and relies on the user's consent. Users maintain the authority to delete this data at any time, thereby withdrawing consent for data processing.

2.3. Navigation
Enabling users to share their location data allows for navigation, access to highway conditions along the designated route, and incident reporting. Failure to share location data will result in the unavailability of these features. HAC will only record the location data of the user who reports an incident. Otherwise, data regarding visited locations and routes  shall not be stored.

2.4. Log Data
HAC may collect additional information devoid of personal data and incapable of identifying the user (such as the operating system, mobile device type, browser version and type, browser language, and/or mobile device language, etc.). This facilitates  the improvement of the Application and resolution of any technical difficulties.

3. Data Security

HAC has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to preserve the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of personal data. Users are required to maintain the confidentiality of their access data (access password and username).

4. Data Sharing

For the maintenance of the App and technical support, HAC has engaged a trusted data processor. The appropriate data processing agreements have been concluded with data processors. 
The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

5. Data Subject's Rights

Users have the right to access their personal data, the right to correct inaccurate data, the right to delete data, the right to restrict processing, and, where applicable, the right to data portability.
