Instructions for installation
Electronic toll collection device (ETC or ENC in Croatia) consists of an on board unit (OBU) and a holder. To be able to install the OBU, the holder must be fixed on the front windshield.
The holder must be fixed on the interior of the windshield behind the rear-view mirror and slightly to the left to avoid visual disturbance for the driver.
On windshields with thermal insulation, the holder should be placed on the non-metallized part of the window which is usually behind the rear-view mirror. (In your vehicle's manual you can check out if your vehicle has a windshield with thermal insulation).
Before placing the holder you should clean and dry the surface and then fix the OBU holder on it.
Instructions for use
When entering the ENC lane, a distance of at least 10 m from the vehicle in front should be kept. When approaching the automatic barrier, it is necessary to pause slightly. The arm of the automatic barrier must be in the lowered position. The traffic light indicator shows a red light signal, and the user display shows the message "tražim ENC uređaj“ (looking for the OBU). The antenna receives the signal of the on board unit inside the vehicle, and the arm of the automatic barrier is raised and an unhindered entry or exit to or from the motorway occurs.
If there are no funds in your ENC account, you may not enter the motorway using the OBU, but must take a magnetic ticket and hand it over to the cashier at the exit toll lane.
